If you already have a Bitfinex account, you can generate the API Key:

  1. Log in with your user and password to Bitfinex.
  2. Press in the little person icon you’ll find in the upper right corner. Then press the menu item called API. You can also use this URL: https://www.bitfinex.com/api
  3. Click on Create new key.
  4. Check the permissions as follow:
    • Account Info: set it as Read
    • Account History: set it as Read
    • Orders: set it as Read & Write
    • Margin Trading: set it as Read
    • Margin Funding: set it as Read
    • Wallets: set it as Read & Write
    • Withdraw: Do NOT give AstreoBot Withdrawal rights.
  5. In Label your API key write AstreoBot
  6. Press Generate API Key
  7. Bitfinex will ask you to Confirm Vía Google Authenticator. Set your 2FA token, and press Submit.
  8. You will receive the confirmation about your request, and an email in your account where you must confirm your request clicking the button Create API Key.
  9. You will get your API Key and API Key secret.
IMPORTANT: Bitfinex will only show you the key once. Make sure to write it down along with the Secret. You will need both of them to set up Bitfinex in AstreoBot.
